This presentation explores the multi-facetted nature of empathy – the neuroscientific and implicit behavioral interactions that together deepen the therapist’s capacity to introject the traumatized patient’s emotional experience and so come to know that person ‘from the inside out’.

Dr Jean Knox is a psychiatrist and Jungian analyst. She is a Training Analyst of the Society of Analytical Psychology, a Senior Member and Training Therapist of the British Association of Psychotherapists and Consultant Editor of the Journal of Analytical Psychology.
