Professor Joy Schaverien

Professor Joy Schaverien is a Jungian analyst. Her new book featured as Guardian book of the day:

Professor Joy Schaverien is a Jungian analyst, a Training Analyst for the Society of Analytical Psychology with a private practice in the East Midlands. She is Visiting Professor for the Northern Programme for Art Psychotherapy and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Analytical Psychology. Before becoming an analyst she trained in fine art at the Slade and she has written extensively on the links between art and psychoanalysis including her monographs The Revealing Image and Desire and the Female Therapist. She is working on a new book on this topic to be published by Routledge. Her latest book, illustrated with pictures made in analysis, is Boarding School Syndrome: The Psychological Trauma of the Privileged Child published by Routledge in June 2015.
